Due to recent influxes in COVID-19 cases, our facilities are requiring masks for all individuals inside the building, regardless if you are in treatment, entering treatment, or visiting. Hand sanitizer and masks are available for those who need them.
PAYING FOR CARE
Homeward Bound, Inc. serves all clients regardless of ability to pay.
Discounts for essential services are offered based on family size and income.

Through our partnership with North Texas Behavioral Health Authority, residents of Dallas, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwall, Ellis, Navarro, or Collin county in North Texas or El Paso, Hudspeth, Culberson, Jeff Davis, Presidio, or Brewster county in Far West Texas, are automatically eligible for most of our programs.
We accept Medicaid for certain programs. However, we do not accept Medicare.
Private insurance from Amerigroup, Parkland First, Superior, Children’s Medical Center, Aetna Medicaid, El Paso First, Texas Medicaid Health Plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Molina Healthcare is also accepted.
FACILITY FUNDING
We are funded by a variety of state and county sources. The Texas Department of State and Health Services (DSHS) and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) oversee many of our funding sources.
NTBHA, the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority, is a Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) and Behavioral Management Organization (BMO) in Northeast Texas. NTBHA is responsible for overseeing funding in mental health and substance use disorder services to qualified customers. NTBHA is also able to help eligible indigent clients from six counties: Dallas, Hunt, Kaufman, Rockwell, Ellis, and Navarro.
Courts and court programs that work directly with Homeward Bound to coordinate treatment and residential stays include Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Mental Health Jail Diversion, Dallas Initiative for Diversion and Expedited Rehabilitation and Treatment (Divert), Treatment Alternatives to Incarceration Program (Col-Taip, Dal-Taip), Mental Health Jail Diversion, South Dallas Drug Court, and Veterans Court.
