MEN'S RESIDENTIAL

The men’s residential program lasts between 14 and 28 days. A physical and mental health assessment helps clients receive care tailored to their needs.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Through cognitive behavioral therapy, clients are encouraged to examine beliefs and preconceived notions about themselves and the world around them. This therapy method addresses the whole person and the situation the individual is in. In therapy, discussions include housing, family, employment, health problems, and other issues that contribute to addiction.

Many clients have suffered tragedies, physical injury, and psychological trauma. Homeward Bound has a full-time, on-site physician and 24-hour nurses who are trained in addiction recovery and trauma-informed care. Homeward Bound therapists help clients set manageable goals that include identifying and resisting triggers that lead them to drug or alcohol abuse.

Men in this residential program are connected to services such as specialized medical care, education, employment, and sober living facilities. Additionally, all clients are connected to Recovery Support Services who help with the continuation of recovery and sober living for up to 5 years after the client’s residential stay.
